Knox Singleton

The former CEO of Inova Health System, Knox Singleton, has served as Independent Chairman of the Board of Healthcare Realty Trust since 2019 and currently serves as the healthcare executive-in-residence for Shenandoah University. His prior experience includes leading Inova Health System, which he joined in 1983, taking it from a three-hospital, $500 million organization to a $3.5 billion healthcare system with five hospitals and more than 100 ambulatory service locations. Singleton was named CEO of the year in 2015 by the Washington Business Journal. He also gives back to communities locally and abroad, serving on several boards and as the co-founder of both the Global Good Fund and the Community Coalition for Haiti, for which he is also a past president.

Singleton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master’s in Health Administration from Duke University.
